To install and set up GoogleEarth for ArcSight ESM version 4.1.1, follow these steps provided by Brian Wolff:
1. **Install Google Earth**: Download from http://earth.google.com/download-earth.html, accept all defaults during installation.
2. **Install ActivePerl**:
Download from http://www.activestate.com/store/evallicense.aspx?PliGuid=89753bde-8470-44cd-8086-8b7f622e526a.
Unzip the file to c:\perl and install the product by selecting the top directory c:\perl.
3. **Install Gabes Code**:
Download or extract the GoogleIntegrator code from https://na5.salesforce.com/01570000000iX1C to c:\GoogleIntegrator.
Double-click on the image for the extractor if necessary.
4. **Configure the ArcSight Console Tool for Google Earth**:
Open the ArcSight Console, go to Tools > Configure, and create a new tool named "google earth".
Note that there is an issue with the UI where both "C:\" should be entered in the working directory and program parameters sections.
5. **Highlight the events** in the ArcSight Console:
Right-click on the highlighted events, choose Export, then select External Tracking System.
Click on Tools > Google Earth to initiate the integration with Google Earth.
